Who we are
LegalEyez ("LegalEyez," "we," "us," or "our") operates a professional network and education platform that connects legal nurse experts with defense attorneys, and provides courses, content, merchandise, and related services (together, the "Services"). This policy applies to our website and all Services we offer.
By using our Services, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.
Information we collect
We collect information you provide directly, information collected automatically when you use the Services, and information from certain third parties.
Information you provide to us
- Contact and inquiry details you submit through forms — such as your name, email address, phone number, and organization.
- Attorney case inquiries — details you choose to share when requesting an expert. Please do not submit privileged, confidential, or case-sensitive information through general web forms. Share only what is necessary to route your inquiry; detailed matter information should be exchanged through appropriate, secure channels once a connection is established.
- Expert profile information — if you apply to join the network as an expert, the credentials, professional background, biography, specialties, and related details you submit.
- Account and enrollment information — details created when you register, sign in, or enroll in Academy courses, including course progress, quiz results, and completion status.
- Purchase and order information — details needed to process course purchases, memberships, and merchandise orders, including billing details and, for merchandise, shipping address.
- Communications — the content of messages, support requests, and other correspondence you send us.
Information we collect automatically
- Usage data — pages visited, links clicked, referring pages, and general activity on the Services.
- Device and technical data — browser type, device type, operating system, and approximate location derived from IP address.
- Cookies and similar technologies — used to keep the site working, remember your preferences, and understand how the Services are used (see Cookies and tracking below).
Information from third parties
- Sign-in providers — if you choose to sign in with Google, we receive basic account information (such as your name and email) from that provider to create and secure your account.
Payment information
Payments are processed by our third-party payment processor (Stripe). We do not collect or store your full payment card number. Card details are provided directly to the processor and handled under its own security standards and privacy policy.
How we use your information
We use the information we collect to:
- Operate, maintain, and improve the Services;
- Route attorney inquiries to appropriate clinical experts within the network;
- Review and approve expert applications and manage network membership;
- Deliver courses, content, video lessons, quizzes, and track your progress;
- Process purchases, enrollments, and merchandise orders, and provide receipts;
- Respond to inquiries and provide customer support;
- Send transactional messages (such as account, receipt, and password-reset emails);
- Send updates, newsletters, or marketing you have requested (you can opt out at any time);
- Protect the security and integrity of the Services and prevent misuse;
- Comply with legal obligations.
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as needed to run the Services or as required by law:
- Within the network — to connect an attorney inquiry with a relevant expert, or to present an approved expert's profile to attorneys, consistent with the network's privacy design.
- Service providers — trusted vendors who perform functions on our behalf, under agreements that limit their use of your information. These include, by category: payment processing (Stripe); video hosting and streaming (Vimeo); website hosting and database infrastructure (Vercel, Supabase); email delivery (transactional and, where applicable, marketing); merchandise printing and fulfillment (Printful); and authentication (Google sign-in).
- Legal and safety — when required by law, regulation, legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of LegalEyez, our users, or others.
- Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this policy.

Data security

Data retention
We keep personal information for as long as needed to provide the Services, maintain your account or enrollment, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When information is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it.
